Function core::intrinsics::add_with_overflow [−][src]
pub extern "rust-intrinsic" fn add_with_overflow<T: Copy>(
x: T,
y: T
) -> (T, bool)
🔬 This is a nightly-only experimental API. (core_intrinsics

intrinsics are unlikely to ever be stabilized, instead they should be used through stabilized interfaces in the rest of the standard library

Performs checked integer addition.
Note that, unlike most intrinsics, this is safe to call;
it does not require an unsafe
block.
Therefore, implementations must not require the user to uphold
any safety invariants.
The stabilized versions of this intrinsic are available on the integer
primitives via the overflowing_add
method. For example,
u32::overflowing_add
